Julian Jimenez was interviewed for the Port of Los Angeles Centennial Oral History Project in Los Angeles, California. Julian Jimenez was born in Los Angeles on December 8, 1939, and grew up in the East Los Angeles area, specifically in Lincoln Heights. His parents migrated from Oklahoma during the Great Depression. Julian graduated from Cathedral High School in 1959 and initially worked various jobs, including shoe sales, before eventually joining the City of Los Angeles' Department of Recreation and Parks.

Justine Arian was interviewed for the Port of Los Angeles Centennial Oral History Project in Los Angeles, California. Justine Arian was born in 1972 in Harbor City, California, and grew up in a family deeply connected to the Port of Los Angeles, with both her father and grandfather working there. Although she did not have a hands-on experience with the port as a child, Arian grew up hearing stories about it and became familiar with its significance to her family. The interview covers Arian's journey into the longshore industry.

On September 11, 2020, Joanne Flanders interviewed Dr. Jyotika Virmani via the Zoom platform. Dr. Virmani participated from Los Angeles, California, while the interviewer was in Bethesda, Maryland. The interview covers Dr. Virmani's early life, including her childhood in Manchester, UK, her family’s migration experiences, and her multicultural upbringing.

Kaylynn Kim was interviewed for the Port of Los Angeles Centennial Oral History Project. Kaylynn Kim is a lawyer with the Allen Matkins law firm, specializing in real estate, finance, and transactions. Originally from Korea, Kim moved to the United States at the age of seventeen, first residing in Oklahoma, where she attended Oklahoma City University for her undergraduate studies. She later pursued chiropractic school in California before transitioning to a career in law.

Laura Warren was interviewed for the Port of Los Angeles Centennial Oral History Project. Warren, born on March 22, 1951, in Long Beach, California, grew up in Wilmington, where her family had deep historical ties to the port and the local community. Her paternal great-grandparents moved from Louisiana to Wilmington in 1905, while her maternal family established a printing business in the area.

Lee Mardesich was interviewed for the Port of Los Angeles Centennial Oral History Project. Lewis "Lou" Loveridge was interviewed for the Port of Los Angeles Centennial Oral History Project. He was born in 1923 in Jefferson, South Dakota, and moved to California in the 1930s with his family. His career on the waterfront began in 1941 when he worked extra on the docks. After serving in the Navy during World War II, he returned to work as a longshoreman, registering on the waterfront in 1948. The interview provides a detailed account of Loveridge’s experiences working at the Port of Los Angeles.
