Adrian Coulby was born in 1933, and spent most of his life in Newburg. His father, Edgar Coulby, owned and operated the Potomac Fishing Oyster Company, an oyster house at Rock Point. As a young boy, Adrian spent a significant amount of time at the oyster house, where he developed a fondness for the bustling environment filled with crab pickers, oyster shuckers, and fishermen. Although his memories of this time are somewhat vague, he recalls helping with tasks such as cleaning the oyster house and interacting with the workers.

Alan Collins Gas Rush

Professor Alan Collins is a distinguished academic in the field of Agricultural and Resource Economics at West Virginia University. Collins spent his formative years in the Western United States, primarily in Phoenix, Arizona, where his father worked for the Bureau of Land Management. His early exposure to natural resource management led him to pursue a degree in Natural Resource Economics from the University of Arizona in Tucson. Furthering his academic journey, he obtained his master's and doctoral degrees from Utah State University and Oregon State University, respectively.

Allan Tweddle Gas Rush

Allan Tweddle, born on August 16, 1932, in Toronto, is an engineer with a strong background in the automotive and air quality industries. Tweddle dropped out of high school and worked odd jobs before returning to complete his high school education in Toronto. He then pursued an engineering degree at the University of Michigan, driven by his interest in the automotive world. After graduation, Tweddle worked with American Air Filter of Canada, focusing on air pollution and air quality in various industrial settings.

Amy Moore Tucker County, West Virginia Flood Audio Recordings

On January 29, 1986, Michael Kline interviewed Amy Renee Moore for the Tucker County, West Virginia Flood Audio Recordings project. Amy Renee Moore, born on January 5, 1965, in Parsons, West Virginia, is the daughter of Bob and Faith Moore. Her family has deep roots in Tucker County, with her father's parents being from Thomas and her mother's family originally from Michigan before settling in Hendricks. The interview begins with Amy recounting her life in Parsons, moving through various neighborhoods before her family built a new home in Holly Meadows.

Aubrey West Stonewall Jackson Dam Removal

On March 7, 1985, Michael Kline interviewed Aubrey West for a project documenting the removal of the Stonewall Jackson Dam in Lewis County, West Virginia. Aubrey West, a lifelong resident of the area, shares extensive memories of the region, his family, and the impacts of the dam project on his community. Barbara and Bobby Heavner Stonewall Jackson Dam Removal

On November 7, 1984, Michael Kline interviewed Barbara and Bobby Heavner for an oral history project focusing on the removal of Stonewall Jackson Dam in Lewis County, West Virginia. Bill Adler Stonewall Jackson Dam Removal

Bill Adler was born in Weston, West Virginia. He served in the Radio Intelligence Division of the Army Security Agency in Germany from 1945 to 1946.  Adler returned home to manage his father's retail store. In February 1953, Adler co-founded the Weston Television Cable Corp. alongside two partners. This venture marked the beginning of his influential role in providing television reception to the residents of Lewis County, West Virginia.

Bill Bryant Gas Rush

William Bryant, also known as Bill, was born on June 20, 1937, in a small crossroads town called Amlin, Ohio, near Plain City in the northwest part of greater Columbus. His father held various jobs, including milkman, railroader, and a captain in the Columbus police department's corrections division. His mother worked at Woolworths and raised six children, five boys and one girl, with William being the second boy. Despite dropping out of high school in his senior year, Bryant joined the Navy at seventeen and later earned a GED.
