Hawai‘i Bottomfish Heritage Project

In 2017, we recorded the personal histories of some of the best bottomfish fishermen who fished across the Hawaiian archipelago for decades. They described the evolution of the fishery's unique culture, traditions, and techniques, to ensure sustainable management for future generations.
